The Obligatory “2012 Metadata Update” Video

Whenever a new year rolls around, I can count on a bunch of questions coming in on changing your metadata information to reflect 2012. In this video, I talk about how to make metadata templates for #Lightroom and #Photoshop #Bridge for this change. I also go over how to re-record a portion of a Photoshop Action that may be using an old year (In this case the #Digimarc watermark service I like to use). Share it with all your image friends. One of those housekeeping things. 🙂

  1. Thanks for bringing this subject up. It’s something I wouldn’t have thought of for six months.

  2. Thanks for reminding to do that- and great tutorial. I was however wondering during the process , why is it so important to update the year to 2012? What would happen if I kept it at 2011? Or if I had no year after my copyright at all?

  3. I would also like to know if there is a specific reason to put the copyright year.
