HDR File to Play With – The Car at Bodie

Its been a while since i’ve done one of these.  I wanted to go through my files and find a set of DNG files that we could play with as an HDR.  This is a picture of a car thats at the ghost town Bodie in California.

If you’re into it, click here to download the source files and give it a shot.  Id love to see what you come up with.

Leave me a comment here with a link to the file that you make.  Post it on Google+.  Just let me know where it is so i can check it out.  After a few days, i’ll do a hangout to talk about some of this post processing. 🙂

  1. Hi RC,

I gave a shot at processing your shots. It is here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/108480599252932396008/posts

Also, I’m in 360 panoramas for my work, HDR and little planet projections of like the following. I would like if you could give me your feedback on these if you have a minute:

  2. Thanks for doing this RC. It’s a great idea and I really enjoy seeing how others interpret the same image. I used SNS HDR to tonemap then finished it off with Viveza plus a masked Color Balance layer in CS6 to reduce some of the yellow on the truck.

  10. Here’s my version. RC you should give your camera sensor a clean LOL.

  11. RC,

Thanks for putting your raw files out there. I think it may be time to get the Copper Hill sensor cleaner out. 🙂

    Seriously….THANKS!

  13. Hi RC,
This was fun to do and it also caused me to learn something about Google+ (I find it very non-intuitive for my brain.)
