The Basilica of St Josephat
After some email and a phone interview I did for some things I’m doing with Intel ( !!!! More on that later) I went back to see if I can go shoot what I originally set out to do yesterday.
Milwaukee has an amazing Basilica – the Basilica of St Josephat. Whenever I get to. New city, churches are one of the first thing I scope out on the Internet. There’s just amazing structures to take pictures of. Beautiful, ornate, yet incredibly peaceful. I was able to hear the Milwaukee symphony orchestra practice a little bit too. So that was pretty amazing.
I can’t wait to get back and make a picture of what I got. I’d love to be able to send it back to them to use how they want. Just to thank them for the memory.
Go Find A Shot! Listen to the Voices!
In Milwaukee sitting in my hotel room wondering if there’s a shot around here. As I am driving to the hotel I see the Basilica of Josephat. I figure hey- even if its closed – I’m guaranteed not to get a shot laying here in the hotel.
Sure enough I get there and yea- it’s closed. Dejected I start wandering and thinking. And run right into this. Needless to say I shoot with one eye on not wanting to spend the night in jail. Bunch of kids come in with some point and shoots but I keep at it making my shots. I quickly leave after the shots.
I write this post from across the street from a bar… in my car reviewing the shots. Im about a block away from the place.
…watching a couple of cop cars right in front of me speeding to the site. Those kids are going to have a bad evening.
Timing is everything.
Listen to that little voice that tells you to shoot. More importantly – listen to it when it _tells you to leave_
First Time at Aki Sushi
This is the best Sushi place in Tampa Bay (Aki Sushi jn Oldsmar). It’s also Sabine’s first time having Japanese. She’s rocking the vegetable tempura, wonton soup and edemame. Loves it!!
Autoexec.bat – Roll Out
Back in college, we had parties where we drank coffee and figured out how to modify our autoexec.bat and config.sys files to load as much stuff into upper memory as possible..
I only remember a couple of them. Or at least I try to block the rest out of memory. I know… baller, right?
