  1. Congratulations on your new venture with Mia.
An idea: I believe an in depth series about Canon DPP would be very popular and would model it after LR with Julianne Kost.
An opinion: I prefer reviews and tutorial that focus on technology or photography and get to the point. Steve Perry, Ben Long, Julieanne Kost and Ming Thein are excellent examples. Kelby, Polin, Hurley, etc irrelevant adolescent “look at me banter” is insufferable. I can’t watch the Grid. Competent systematic professional photo critiques would be great but I don’t have the time and interest to waste on childish screwing around.
Best wishes for great success to both of you!

  2. Congrats to you and Mia on the new venture! How do we contact you about download questions for “The Big Deal”?

  3. Problem solved!

I went to the FotoPromo website and submitted my request to Support using the form there and received a timely reply which allowed me to download updated folders which all opened and worked perfectly.

Apparently the acknowledgement email I received right after I purchased the BIG DEAL had an old, now incorrect email address for customer support, and it was my emails to that address which were getting the auto replies with no followup.

This must have been a glitch as a result of the transition in ownership.

All is well now and I am looking forward to future offerings from Foto Promos.

  4. I bought the Photo Mechanic Prom package and really enjoyed your instruction videos. Have had Lightroom and have used it for commercial clients a little, but I am a news photographer–see websites– and use and love photo mechanic. I been talking about your videos to other news photographers who would like to use Light Room. Frankly we can’t use this program fully in the news business because of the manipulation restrictions, but everyone wants to learn. Where can my friends purchase your video–the one in the promo package or other videos by you on Light Room?
When you are in Washington DC . contact me. I think that your ideas would be a great program for a White House News Photographers Association meeting. (This is from a retired president of the WHNPA. no longer the president)
thanks for you time. Dennis Brack. http://www.dennisbrack.net http://www.presidentialpicturestories.com http://www.dennisbrack.com

  5. I agree with the previous comment. Adolescent look at me banter wastes my time.

  6. Now I have another friend I told about you Light Room Photo Promo series. Can you tell me how to get it to them? Thanks, Dennis

  7. Very much enjoyed your printing seminar at the Smoky Mt Summit–would welcome the links and info you mentioned to the class–roy rubeli
